Collaboration Protocol Agreement between MadeBiotech and Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias

MadeBiotech today signed a Collaboration Protocol Agreement with the prestigious Technological Institute of Canarias – Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias, ITC.

The mutual recognition of scientific and technological quality and the common interest in developing the macaronesian region through research, development and innovation, led these two institutions to sign this protocol, under which several activities will be planned and developed. “This is a very important step for us and for our scientific and technological objectives since ITC is an institution with an international reputation of excellence in several scientific fields and they share some of our most important values related to sustainable development. Since both institutions are located in ultra peripheral regions of the EU, they share some problems and difficulties which can be more effectively addressed by synergetic solutions with international scale”, said Dr. Miguel Cardoso, CEO of MadeBiotech- C R & D, S.A.

The Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias S.A. is a public company, created by the government of the Canary Islands in 1992, with the purpose of developing activities of research, development and innovation at the service of the archipelago’s economy. The quality of the work developed and the international profile of the researchers at ITC projected this institute beyond the Spanish borders. At present, ITC is a world reference in several fields, including biotechnology of microalgae, energy, biomechanics and water treatment.
